My name is Roy Leon, I am a student here from San Jose State University. I have been an investor for four years and I am here to educate students and people about investing. I do actively invest in stocks, even during the recent recession that we have had. During this recession, it was a great opportunity to position yourself in stocks because it created so many buying opportunities. Of course, please do some investigation on the stock before investing in a stock. Just because John Smith told you to invest in something does not mean you should go the very next day and put your savings in it.  In my opinion and as well as others, I believe that people should have a certain foundation because obviously the Social Security and other benefits that the government has promised us cease to exist in our future. People should invest so they will not run out of money when they retire and so they can live a comfortable life after working a major part of their life. As a finance major, stocks can be intimidating and confusing, but it doesn't have to be confusing because there are so many options for you to pick from. After graduating I hope to be an analyst or join a hedge fund to start my career in the world of stocks and investments. I hope that this blog would aid you so that you can have a better future and if there is a stock that you are interested in learning or need a little simplified, just leave me a comment on the bottom.
